RAEZOR, Resonant Bass Distortion Pedal

The RAEZOR (or RÆZOR) is Vigor Audio's debut into the world of bass distortion pedals!

This entirely analogue pedal features a very gnarly high-mid distortion ("DIRT") followed by a sweep-able resonant low-pass filter ("REZ") that will make your bass growl in a way you've never heard before. This pedal produces a gnarly, dirty, roaring tone that can cut through and sound sharp within a mix and/or during live performances. The distortion circuit's gain mainly affects the mid to high frequencies leaving the lower bass frequencies less affected - doing so avoids a muddy tone and retains clarity.

The motivation for this design was to get pretty darn close to Justin Chancellor's (of Tool) distortion tone that can be heard in Tool's tracks such as "Jambi", ".H" and "Vicarious".

Despite the unique design, the control knobs are very simple:

"BLEND" - Mix between the dry input signal and the wet dirty signal.

"REZ" - Sweeps the post-gain resonant filter's frequency between 1700 Hz and 3200 Hz.
*Justin's Chancellor tone can be achieved at the ~2200 Hz area which is roughly around 60% clock-wise or 1 - 2 o'clock*

"DIRT" - Gradually raises the level of distortion.

"VOLUME" - ...well just the volume.

PLEASE READ: A standard guitar/bass pedal power adapter with a negative center tip is a MUST REQUIRED. The use of an incorrect supply will likely result in damage, in which case the pedal will have to be returned for repair.

9V-18VDC Operation. For basses with hotter pre-amps (or high signal output swings), 18V is preferred.

Input/Output Jacks are side-mounted.
